Recently I've had both threaded oil hoses break lose and need replacement. Thats done.
Now the base fitting where the hoses connect to the engine is lose and leaks. Basically I was wondering if this is a nessecity to my turbo 5SFE, or would just the filter be okay. Its the HKS kit, and I haven't been able to find much info on it. Thanks. This post has been edited by erics1one: Oct 28, 2004 - 1:23 AM -------------------- ![]() |

Profile has pics now.
The 'O' rings on the fitting are compressed pretty far. Right now the fitting tightens too much and cause the hose to sit horizontal. Obviously that is way too close to the manifold to withstand the heat. I think replacing the rings might cause it to tighten and stop correctly. I'll be checking my local performance shops on Monday to see if they have these rings. -------------------- ![]() |
