Ok, raised the car, took the bolts i needed off, took the belts off too, but how do i get the old pulley off?? everytime i twist the bolt in the middle, the whole pulley turns. stepping on the brake while in gear does not work, either. how do i get the s.o.b. off??

The pully removal requires the use of an SST (Special Service Tool.) It cost about $150 from Toyota, but we actually spent for hours and made our own. Its kind of like a lever that you bolt onto the crankshaft pulley. You may notice if you;ve looked at your crankshaft pulley there are holes in it. That is where 6mm bolts screw in. Then while you hold the pulley still by the handle of the tool you can take the bolt off with a breaker bar. I have a pic of it below.
