I've read that urethane is very durable, but that it's difficult to paint and is also prone to warping if it's heated or left in the sun for too long (not sure if this is true). But on the other hand, I don't want fiberglass which would chip very easily. What should I do?!?

I say get the urethane and make a copy of it with fiberglass. So that way....you have both.
