Ever get the feeling.... ? Options

Ever get that feeling that someone is trying to push a fast one on you? ... well here is my story

4weeks ago..
I was coming home from work..the sun was at that point where everything was extreamly hard to see.. So i'm driving on the way to my house.. the sun is on my left side.. this older women is infront of me in her Geo Prizum... she makes the left trun.. then i make the same turn.. the sun is right infront of me.. hardly see her car cause of the sun glare.. all of a sudden she slams on her brakes.. so i slam on mine.. I tap her rear bumper at about 3-6mph ...we pull to the side I ask her and her passenger if they OK.. they say yea.. then i go and look at the damage.. no damage what so ever to my car not even a scratch... I check her bumper (champaine color car) there is a blue strach on her bumper the size of my thum nail... We exchange info.. and i let her know if anything is wrong just contact me i have people that do body work.. she says ok she'll have her husban look at it and give me a call is anything..


about a week later...
I get a call from the womens husban.. he tells me that there is some damage to the bumper... i ask him wait .. he says he took it to a body shop and it will be 190 bucks to get the bumper fixed.... I told him don't do that till i see what damage was done cause i didn't see any damage that day.. and if there was damage i wanted to take it to my body shop so they could look at it... he said ok.. and asked me when will that be.. i told him it would be in a couple of weeks.. cause i was getting ready for sugery and i really didn't have time to do anything.. the guy said fine.. he would call me back

last week ...
The day i was going into have my eye sugery he call me and ask me when i'm going to give him the money to get his wifes car fixed.. I told him what money.. i still haven't seen anydamage.. give me a week i'm having sugery done that day... so i can't go see the car and i won't be able to for at least a week... he sounds pissed and hangs up the phone ..

Monday ...
I get a call for the guy and he says.. i owe him 190 bucks for the new bumper her had to put on his wifes car.. i'm say what the hell are you talking about.. why do i owe you 190 for a sratch .. and i told you from the start to give me some time .. i need to take care of somethings and you where fine with it... He tell me that i left a hole in his wifes bumper.. I tell him how the hell was there a hole in his wifes bumper.. that wasn't from me.... there is know way my bumper make a hole in his wifes bumper.. then he said well i'm tired of being nice.. you need to pay me my money for the work i had done.... then i told him well if you want money call the inurance company...

I see his point in getting mad because of a wait. Think if it were the Celi. If someone hit the Celi, even a scratch, and asked you to wait a couple weeks before they figure it out - you'd probably get a little upset. HOWEVER, he's the loser in this situation. Since no police report was found and unless he has actual bodyshop repair order showing the damage caused - he doesn't have a case. Since he was stupid enough to have the damn thing fixed without a bodyshop note or police report, and pin it on you (even if you did cause the hole) then I'd be a ass. I'd tell him to eat it. Since you never got a chance to look at the bumper yourself before the fix. Hope this helped.
