My GT is getting only 15-18 miles per gallon when I firstm got it, then i installed a tornado fuel saver and now I get around 19-21 mile per gallon. I told a guy at the toyota dealer my problem and he said that it doesn't seem right and to bring it in for a inspection. I just want to know around how many miles per gallon everyone else is getting.

Could be. You can go to a mechanic and have them tested, or I think you can do it yourself (it says how in the Chilton Celica manual). I got my new stock O2 sensors (pre-cat and post-cat) from http://toyotaandlexusparts.com/ for about $200 shipped. PS- If you are going to replace them, you will need to take out the passenger's seat and pull up some carpet in order to access the wiring plug for the sensor after the cat. But other than that, there is really nothing to it. This post has been edited by CheesyLobster: Nov 16, 2004 - 7:16 PM |

Yeah but those are bosch, not oem. oem from the dealership is about $250. With all the CELs I was getting at the time, I didn't want to take a risk with something non oem. Also, those $30 ones dont have the clip on, and need to be spliced into the harness, waterproof the seals, etc... not worth the work to me. QUOTE(LatinKraze @ Nov 18, 2004 - 2:36 AM) I have both of my o2 sensors in the engine bay. Is it that different for the 7afe? The 7afe has one in the engine bay (pre cat) and one after the car, on the exhaust pipe, at about the middle of the car.
