Indiglo Gauge Wiring Problem..., Installed gauges, running lights died... Options

Hi all,

I drive a 96' Celica GT. Recently, I purchased a set of indiglo gauges of ebay and installed them. The gauges work and light up nicely, however, I believe I spliced it incorrectly.

I tapped the parking lights for these gauges. Took the instrumentation cluster out, spliced into a green wire (parking lights) on the left side behind the dash, and grounded the negative end to the chassis. The gauges light and dim without a problem, but now my right side marker light does not light.

I was thinking the gauges were drawing too much power for the side marker to be operating, but that doesn't make much sense. Perhaps I shorted it?

Any thoughts or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check the voltage through the bulb.

BTW, If I change it to the dimmer switch, which wires do what? I know there are three in that assembly. Pos? Neg? Other?
