Hello,
Today I took apart part of my dash and I've been working on my keyless entry wiring so that I can have illuminated entry. I found out from http://www.the12volt.com that the door trigger wire is a red and white wire in the driver's side kick panel and that it's negative. Here's a pic to illustrate what I'm about to say: ![]() The green arrow points to the only red and white arrow that I found in the kick panel, but when I took out the connector that connects the wire to another wire(The connector is circled), it doesn't affect anything. The door open sensor appears to act normally, whether the connector is in or out. If anyone has installed an alarm or keyless entry on their Celica, can you tell me which wire I need to tap into to get my illuminated entry to work? Thanks! -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I'm looking at a schematic for the lights, and your spot on the 12v feed from
the lamp switch on the indicator stick is fed to the 15amp tail light fuse in the fuse box near the steering column. There should be a green wire feeding from this fuse or the connector into the underside of the sill/ scuff plate. All the parking lights are wired in parallel so tapping onto any part of the wire should work, Jon |
