I normally would post this on an pure audio forum but i trust this forum most and i dont belong to any pure car audio forums. So ill just ask my question here.
I know theres a good amount of companies out there who make amps. Other then the name brand ones which ones are good? Ive been debating between a name brand one (kicker or pioneer) and a amp from "Profile." Ive read some reviews on their amps and have found ppl to like their amps, mostly their Califorina series amp. Im planing on getting either a 4 or 2 channel. Ill be amping two subs and two rmb8 mid bass speakers. At first i was just going to amp my subs but figured that since im guna be amping things i might as well get a 4 chan and amp both my subs and my mid bass. Although my mid bass sound fine on the stock set up. And just so i know it is better to have a chanel for each speaker or sub instead of runing two speakers/subs off of one chanlle right? Thanks btw this is the profile amp im looking at if i get a 4 chan. at http://www.audio-warehouse.com/web/mdl/AP1040/detail.asp the 2 chan one http://www.audio-warehouse.com/web/mdl/AP600/detail.asp This post has been edited by urbandork: Nov 23, 2004 - 10:22 PM |

best way to wire it is to find out the if what your coils break down too..
are they dual voice coils...single or soo that way you have to get a amp around that...if your subs can be wired down to 1 ohm and your amp can handle running at that then thats your best bet... find out what you have to run your subs for best performance and amp too 4 ohm load 2 ohm load 1 ohm load should say on your amp the configurations it can handle...i say this cuz most the time if you run say a 2 ohm load and your amps puts out 500 watts for rms at 2 ohm and you wire it for a 4 ohm load it can sometimes cut the power in half..and losting half power is no good |
