well i went snow boarding on sunday..even tho it was excepted to only have a few inches of snow and the rest hopefully man made......well guess what happened..

they got 28 inches of snow on sunday....whoa was that fun...it got soo bad that we got snowed in..we couldnt leave do to the fact they closed all the roads..

28 may not sound like much to some people...well considering that they only get about 90 inches of snow a year....28 in one day is a whole alot of snow..

fresh powder is sooo much fun...carving like no other and just seeing a huge wall of snow coming from me.. hit a few jumps...few rails...few boxes...fun times we rented a motel and it was ghetto fab..but it was cool..3 guys 2 girls fun times haha..

down side...it was snowing even coming down the mountain and it burn/froze your face
motels like to jack the prices of room when people are snowed in...jackasses cant drive in snow and try anways and crash and block road...making a 3 hour trip like 6..

well anyone else gone? or have any sweet story?

Big Bear is where I learned to snowboard; it's great (second to Mammoth.. which is second to REAL mountains in other states smile.gif. I went up there for 3 days late january, got a beginner package (with lessons) and had "private" lessons for 2 days (private because they were supposed to be public; but with only me and my friend in them.. wink.gif

I've skied a ton before I boarded; so it was frustrating to keep falling on my ass with the board as skiers roared by. I kept thinking: I don't HAVE to fall.. I could ski...

I will probably make one big bear trip, one mammoth trip, and a few Mt High trips this winter (mt high is a really cheap place really close by to LA that has decent snow when it gets to WINTER winter)
