ok, my new deck (kenwood kdc x979) has pre outs for amps, but it has them for front speakers, center speakers, rear speakers, and then also subs. so should i be running one amp per speaker, or just a 4 channel amp for my four main speakers? and then also, what one would i use if i did that? i dont plan on doing anything with amps yet, but just wondering. It also has stuff for SPL adjustments and stuff like that....this deck has everything....lol. i figured it would be a good one to get now to built my system off later, instead of buying another one later and a cheap one now.

One amp per speaker would be way overkill. Possible options are one amp for all 4 speakers and one (or two) for a subwoofer set up. We would need to know more about what kind of speakers you have and such to help you though. |
