Does anyone spend most their time slacking off at work? I work four hours a day during the school year, and most days I spend 10-15 minutes doing actual work for the company I work for.
Some days I work a lot. Like today...it's deadline day for the project I've had assigned to me for the last month or so. I worked on it for about an hour yesterday, and close to two hours today, and it'll probably take me another hour to finish it and then show some people how to use it. So I've maybe put in 6 hours of work into it. The company thinks it takes me weeks to do this stuff though(and they think weeks are fast...they still are very happy with me.) So I spend the majority of my day in my office browsing 6GC, Celica.net, 4GCelica.net, ToyMods, TwinCam.org, Club4AG, Honda-Tech.com, NWStreetRacing, eBay, Craig's List, etc. I keep a small 640x300 pixel browser window open for browsing these sites, and always have open actual work in the background that I switch to when someone comes into my office, so it always looks like I'm working. ![]() I seriously actually work for about 10-15% of the time that I'm paid to be here for. Anyone else slack off this much? -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

QUOTE(Consynx @ Nov 30, 2004 - 3:05 PM) sounds like your trying to get fired. Nah, I don't wanna get fired. Plus, they won't fire me...I have excellent job security because I develop very complex web/intranet applications in programming languages that my bosses don't even know. Plus, they think I work super hard and they think I do good work. Just a few minutes ago I was showing the project I've been "working on" for a month to someone(it didn't take me long at all to finish actually...I guess I'm used to telling people it takes me longer to do stuff than it does), and the CEO walked in and saw it and was very impressed. He smiled and said "Christian mah boy, I dunno what we'd do without you." So I don't think I'll be getting fired any time soon...I also recently completed some software that the company is now implementing in their customers' plants for a measly charge of $6,000+ per company, so they're still making good money off me, even if I do hardly work at all. ![]() -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
