Alright, so as I posted during the summer, I'm in love w/ my best friend who is in Spain for the first term of school. Confessed my love to her in Barcelona the night before I left, and had you asked me about a month ago, I'd have told you I am ready for a relationship that could last forever w/ this girl RIGHT NOW. Now, my feelings for her haven't changed, but as far as how ready for the relationship I am, that has changed. Just recently I started hanging out w/ this girl that I met and you know, it's cutesy kissy cuddly and sheist, but my Friend comes back on Sunday... I have no idea what she's thinking and she never said that she wanted to be with me when she came back. We've just had a series of talks in the past about getting together, but we never actually hooked up. So now I have no idea what's gonna happen when she comes back, and I have to make a decision because I don't wanna upset the girl I've been kickin' it with lately because she's cool as all hell, not to mention she's a good friend of my roomy's girlfriend. At the same time, can I really turn down the one girl I've been in love with for quite sometime if she wants to take it to that level? Not to mention she's my best friend and means everything to me... I know I want to end up w/ her in the end, but I just don't know about now! I'm only 20, too many things race through my mind, but I don't know if I'm ready for the level of relationship that would be brought on by my friend coming back. All my friends here, even the one in our tight circle of friends that includes my friend in Spain, says just date this girl for a while and put my friend on hold. I don't know if I can do that! Any of you have this situation before?!

Yea, I ended up ditching the love cause it wasn't the same & now I am very happy & know I made my choice for the better. Me & the chick are still friends, I mean out of 2 years after my desicion, I've talked to her for about a month total & still know her better than she knows herself & still feel at times of wanting to be with her but I know it's never going to be the same.

I have no idea what she's thinking and she never said that she wanted to be with me when she came back.

Unless there was some untold commitment being upheld, be with the new chick & see what your best friend wants between you & her when she arrives then come back with another help post.
