hey guys if you look at the pic i've posted below, the 2 spot's i've circled, there's a hose connecting it. i believe that's the breather hose, am i right? so i'm wondering, if i remove the hose and replace the 2 outlets with breather filters, will it work? what will happen after replacing it? will i get like more air into the engine? maybe slight gain of hp?

QUOTE(Kwanza26 @ Dec 3, 2004 - 12:38 PM) The one on the valve cover is a breather and yes you can put a breather filter on there... but I think the one on the Throttle Body runs coolant... Its all one hose. The one one tha valve cover can be capped off but the other I believe controls the throttle during cold startups. When i did my head gasket I capped it off and it caused me to idle at like 100rpm and if I didn't keep the rpm's up it would stall. When i replaced the hose all was fine. Not sure on how to by pass it. -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe
