Hello... I have a 97 Celica ST with 83k mi. on it, 6k of which are mine, but I was pretty new at driving stick for the first couple of months- I'm pretty sure my clutch plate is burnt. (I can feel serious transmission slip and even see it on the tachometer.) Has anyone put a clutch other than the standard one in their celica? What do you guys think, should I go for a better one? I'm not sure yet what's out there. Thanks..

postnebulous if you dont thinking of making major upgrades of performance on your car, install the geniune one from Toyota.
If you want to improve the shifting on your car just change your gearbox oil with e better one,use also a treatment and install a quickshift....this is fine for daily use driving.
