The new issue of Car and Driver has a nice little write-up about the Toyota Supercar due as early as 2006. According to the article, Toyota representatives have indicated that they wouldn't produce it until they get some victories in F1 races. Its reported to have a v10 and 500+ hp and retail at between $100-120k. Interesting stuff...

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I personally have no faith in Toyota with regard to sports cars so I'm not gonna hold my breath. I personally don't really care about a supercar or a new Supra either... cause I'm not gonna be able to afford one... What I'd like to see... an affordable, light weight, small, agile, FR sports car with an engine that can spin out some power. A retro Celica perhaps, or a reborn AE86? Toyota should take advantage of the popularity of the AE86 and re-make something like it... but then again, I'm not holding my breath.
