As you probably guessed it, I'm painting the trim inside my car. Funds are extremely low right now and I'm bored waiting for the money to get my car on the road so I thought I'd do something that is CHEAP and IMO makes the interior look 1000x better. I'm going to be painting it gloss white, to match the color of the exterior.

I got the inspiration/idea from this article. Today I went to walmart and picked up some liquid sandpapaer, Kyrlon acrylic gloss white spray paint, and a can of satin clear coat. I took out everything I wanted to paint... well actually I wanted to take out the passenger side airbag cover but I didn't know if the airbag was gonna come out! tongue.gif

Anyways.... I'm going to hopefully get all the painting done tomorrow. Do you guys have any tips? I really want this to look good. How long should I wait between coats of paint? How long after I paint it should I start putting on the coats of clear coat? Any tips or suggestion are much appreciated!

The lower doo panels are all screwed together.

There is a screw near the door handel, then one under the door handle.

Then there are two on the inner side, where the doo connects to the front of the car, then thre are four screws on the bottom of the door. ummm ow there are 3 small plastic type of pop out screw things on the side of the door that connects to the rear of the car.ow and one big screw in the rubber door handle part.

Basicly u can see all the screws except fot the one behind the door handle covering thing.

once u undo all of them the entire doo panel pulls right up off. then u just disconnect your window wires, and door light wires.

and then there are more screws on the back of the door panel which will let u remove the lower half from the top half.

I know it seems like wrote alot to do, but it will only take u a few minutes to unscrew everything and spray it all.

Make sure u leave everything to dry for a couple of hours, other wise u will get finger prints on everything. And spary it all with some sort of clear coat, but be careful as most clear coat will eat the paint, so only spray it in small amounts.

ok i thinks that enough from me now, post pics when your done!!

cheers, JErome
