I have one that once painted will be a perfect mold to the driver side of the trunk, its for 2 competition 10".

1. Yeah it all depends on how many layers you do and how big it is (obviously) I mush have gone though a gallon at least, maybe 2

2. it varies, i did 6 on the base (part that bults to the side) and around 4-5 over the rest I used the mesh, not the mating for extra strangth so i did not have to do so many layers.

3. yeah what pxcr440 said, about 20 a gal, + $6 per yard and a half of mesh, i used about 5.

4. I took the rings from my mdf box i had maid a wile back, you can buy them and maybe its a good idea, but i maid mine and it worked just fine.

5. mdf for the ring, but thats all, wood dowel to hold up the rings in place for the first few layers over the frunt.

6. Yep a good amount of body filler to even out the surface, rather then sanding the fiberglass and making it thiner, plus its easery to smooth out body filler (i have in the pased used fiberglass reinforced bondo but its not the best stuff, it takes for ever to dry and is hard to sand evenly. regual is the best.
