I hear left and right that RHD drives cars are illegal in the USA. Now my questions is, are they illegal b/c THEY ARE RHD or b/c of the other little things? Like 1. NO EGR? 2. The DOT stuff (sorry dont remember anything about that)? Or both, which is it? From what i hear there are people here and there that have RHD cars here in the US even HERE in L.A. Ive seen a R32 around here and i think a R33. But I'm not sure if they have been registered. If registering them were such a big deal are then how are they on the streets? How do i get me a RHD car and get it registered? I'll make most of the changes that are needed like the DOT approved stuff if thats all it takes to register it.
Sorry i was bored as you can tell in the middle of the night so this was troubling my head ![]() Later, David |

RHD cars are not illegal... its that the type of cars that we want just happen to be RHD. Skylines can be made street legal because there is a company that has gone through the trouble of importing them, making them DOT approved by providing crash test results, emission equipment modification and things. But the fact that the driver sits on the right does not make a difference.
