Hey guys,

sorry another dumb random question. I spend most of the year in Buffalo, NY and then my summers in New Jersey. Do you think it would be unsafe to install a CAI on my 96 GT? I have been getting mixed reviews.....any advice would help. Also is the preformance aspect of doing a CAI even that much better to risk hydrolocking the engine compared to a short ram? confused.gif

thanks

You could mount it a bit higher up or something. Or you could try to make a cold air box where cold air is fed to the box, and the filter is inside the box(which is actually an enclosed area of the engine bay, not a box.)

I have no problems sucking up water, and it's hard to imagine driving through water so deep that my filter submerges.
