i am thinking about getting a body kit. what should i expect to pay to have it painted? i am also thinking about painting my whole car. what should i expect to pay for a full paint job with some decent quality paint?

I'd expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $1,000 for painting the body kit alone. If you're going to have them modify it for a perfect fit, that'll cost you more too.
And to paint the whole car and get a good paint job, I'd expect to pay $1,500-4,000. It depends on the shop, how much work your car needs, what colors you want to go with, etc. The best thing to do would be to check local shops. Most of us don't live in St. Louis(That's STL, right?  ), so we have no idea. Just go to local body shops and they'll give you estimates. Be sure to check out customer cars and current projects and stuff like that.
