Hypothetically, if I or someone like me were to race, from a standstill, in an auto ST, would our best bet be to: a) Leave the car in drive with overdrive off and just mash on the gas b) Start in L, shift up to 2 when nearing redline, then shift up to drive when nearing redline in 2 c) Either of the above with some other techniques added in. Left foot press brake, put into D, while holding brake, right foot press gas and hold rpm at about 3500 - 4000.
Best for quick star... Wanna break your gear box?
