Air Bag Removal Options

I did some searching, and found that some people disconnected the battery and waited 15 minutes before going back to work on the car, to ensure that the air bags wouldn't pop out.

I need to remove both of them, so what's the safest way to do this? Disconnect the battery, then wait 15 minutes, then disconnect the plug for the air bag module underneath the center console?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh please, you people complaining about removing the dash aren't real men. Real men figure out they forgot something and have to drive their stripped car to home depot with no dash. REAL men aren't afraid of fiberglass... wait.. dangit.

Hahaha reminds me of the time I put a car alarm in my first car. It took 3 days of on and off work to get it working flawlessly....and it was my only car... My trim and my glovebox was relocated in the back seat next to the bundles of copper wire and relays and replacement door jams and etc etc etc. O yes and having to get my car jumped after work because the chime didnt ring when I had my headlights on.
