Hi guys im new to this board and would like some advice regarding the veilside front.
I live in the uk and the roads here aint the best we have speed humps plastered every where (annoying raised tarmac bout75mm) and my cars lowered 35mm so do any of you guys who have the veilside front and your car is lowered ,encounter any problems with the height of the ground clearance (how much have you got) because i dont fancy splitting the front once its on. Cheers. |

Mark ....you are not alone.
I have excatly the same dilema here in France. (Speed humps, parking ramps, ...) I would like a veilside style front bumper as well. My plan is to first do the suspension (Koni's with Eibach's - 1.5" drop), braking (f&r cross-drilled and slotted discs, EBC Green pads and painted calipers) and wheels (TSW EvoR 7x17 and I am going to try fitting 225x45x17, I'm currently running 205x40x17) and then see what I can do afterwards. Trimming the splitter seems like a possibility, I thought about trimming the bottom of the bumper and then mating the splitter to it. I also thought about re-inforcing the splitter with an underside metal plate. |
