Newbie bashing, cmonnnnnn guys Options

We were all newbies once...I think everyone should go back to their very first posts and show that they made stupid mistakes at some point too...There really is a lot of hate towards newbies that is really undeserved. Not everyone knows that there is a search function, or that this stuff has been discussed before. So I'll get us started (even though I haven't been here very long).

I've seriously been looking into saving up for one of these engines, but in addition to the enormous price (all of which I would have to pay for off $8.50 an hour for now), I don't know if it's going to pass smog in California, because we got it pretty strict here.

Anyone around here who has one know? I don't wanna be an idiot and invest all this money into an engine that I won't even be able to run legally; it would be a pain to have to add on to the cost of the swap, just to get it to pass smog.

heres my first post

-working on my custom dash....

-hooking up ps2
-got coilovers, need installation
-getting front bumper (invader) next wednesday (11/20)
-getting new front neon to replace the one i broke going 10 miles up a driveway

-connecting the side pieces off my reverse indiglo gauges (the ones that everyone disconnected) to blink with corresponding turn signals
-jdm taillights coming in(from roo)
-fixing strobes, perhaps...theyr'e just sitting there, connected, but not working 
-possibly throwin a blue plasma neon in the back window if i can find one longer than 15 inches

i never did fix that front neon, lol
