I've got this Pioneer in there right now thats rather bland. Organic ELs are cool, but I don't know if I want to get one of those. I want one with a spectrum analyzer on it...you know like on Winamp. I could sit and watch the SA on Winamp forever. But I can't find any decks with them. I think Kenwood has some...I think...but do you guys know of any?

Have you seen the new Panasonics? They have Ghost display, where the entire head unit fades to black when turned off - and when you want it on, just lightly tap the screen and it turns on. There are no buttons, it is all one big touch sensitive screen with buttons that apparently look quite real.
You can change the display colour to suit your car, the choices are: Storm, Level, Fire, Twilight, Forest, Sky, Ocean, Sun, and Snow And yes there is a spectrum analyser The power is 60w X 4 and it has mp3 playback. MSRP $499.99 Here's the links CQ-HX2083U Panasonic Features -- No I don't work for Panasonic The best advice I've heard is: Find 3-4 head units you like the look of and that do what you want, go and listen to them, and buy the one you like the sound of the most. -------------------- ![]() |
