 Parking Brake Shoes, Anybody replaced theirs? |

Has anybody replaced their parking brake shoes on their GT? I want to know if the shoes are something most auto stores carry or a dealer only item. NAPA said they showed them but they were the same part number as the ST rear shoes, which I think is not right.

read up a little on the rear brakes first playr before saying something like that. I mentioned the ST brakes are to large. Gt's have disc brakes all round, but, have a small drum like brake with a disc around the outside of it, forming the rear brakes. We're talking about the brake shoes in the drum in the middle of the disc brakes on the rear. They are slightly smaller than the ST brake shoes, can only be purchased through toyota, and ARE EXPENSIVE AS HELL
