OK OK

I just posted in the clutchmasters thread with a little mr2 note at the end. Then I thought "Hrmmm, I guess I really never clarified if the MR2 turbo LSD tranny can bolt to the side of my beautiful 5SFE, Hrm indeed" So I thought "OH boy, I get to use the Search button like Lil Billy showed me from the Steam video" I clicked the search button, but to no avail. Why because MR2 is 3 letters long and I have no clue how else to search for it. So, here I am, lonely and sitting in front on my computer. I know I'll talk to Shid, he's got his fingers stuck in almost everything and should know something. Well Shid said he too would like a Mr2 tranny but was unsure and then told me to go read the 3SI thread in the OT for a good laugh. After reading that, I decided it was time to create a new thread.

So... Can the mr2 turbo tranny bolt to a 5SFE. Because this would give me something other than the crappy S54 and LSD and available clutch upgrades from ACT (the bestest brand ever IMO). So anyone with knowledge is welcome to answer.

If you respond with Search harder, your a moron, do a 3SGTE swap, or anything else stupid, Shid will eat you. .......... I'm serious.

First - unless your planning on doing an 5sfe turbo the E153 would be way more expensive than you'd like to put on a car whose stock tranny is more than enough.

Secondly - the gear ratios are intended for a 3sgte - therefore you have longer gears, hence you will have slower acceleration. The S54 has short gears for a reason.

The $1,000 transmission that is the E153 LSD is something you really dont need, not to mention you will need to do the conversion and require parts from an Alltrac E153 and then need the axles from the MR2T tranny and the Alltrac tranny do make a hybrid axle. Your staring at $1200 for a stronger transmission you dont need.

See what im getting at?
