yeah thats one of the many stuff for christmas i got. me and my dad are like stereo newbs so its taken us awhile to figure out the wiring and such (other than the fact that he's a electrical engineer

Hell, with a properly built box small wattage can seem pretty powerful. A friend of mine had 4 12" pyramid subs (hold the laughter) in a Isobaric/Vented hybrid enclosure (One sub had a totally sealed enclosure and the other sub was mated with a large ventilated enclosure). It was surprisingly clean sounding and was still loud enough to be heard from a distance.
