Hey guys I think i need to change my brakes soon. I step on the brakes and it takes a while to stop now. Just want to know what I have to do and how hard and what tools I need for this job. Thanks in advance.

ok here is how to do it
1) get a jack, 2 jackstands, and a set of sprockets 2)remove wheel sit to the side 3)remove caliper (there are TWO bolts holding on the skinny metal piece that goes around the caliper 4)take the caliper off it was either the same bolts from step 3 or another 2 i actually have a full picture thing just not on this compu 5) pull off the brake pads push them into the caliper and they fall off... 6) take off the lil wire things attached to them 7) replace with new pads and shims (shims are the lil metal things behind each pad 8) compress caliper piston with anything i used a clamp put your pads with anti squeel grease back in and redo the steps |
