Public impression of celicas is pequlear, Pretty much how people go from eww to wo Options

It is no secret that 5/10 people you talk to have utter disregard for celicas. Now the interesting thing is that once they actually look at your 6th gen car their perception switches on a dime and you can see a drop of jealousy in their eyes. No other generation attracts so much attention as 94-99 and that makes me feel appreciate my car even more. When I tell people that I drive a celica they think they are about to see some ugly plain weird car but they are wrong. As they see their reflection on the side of my car and as they try to glance inside the uber tinted windows they start wondering what's lurking inside? They also comment on my rims (will post pic this week.. just waiting to get my camera back) before they see the car. They say eww white rims... and 18's are not going to fit your car and or it will look ridiculous. Well out of spite I have to show them they are wrong. A single glance at my car and my rims stand out like a green hat in a orange field. They are white... and they look hot. The smooth and sexy contour of my car may fool one into thinking that celica is a girlie car but as soon as they hear a combination of my CAI and Exhaust.. well I grin and in my eyes you can see: I told you so.

Well the moral of the story is that with a little creativity our cars become better than anything on the street. Take the following as an example. I pull up to the parking lot and some chump is showing off his civic... as soon as I pull up people just flock my way.. sigh it makes me feel so damn proud.

I'va had quite a few people comment the celi, Two times that i will remember though. First time i'm at a stop light, and i hear the dude in the car beside me telling his mom (in spanish) "hey mom thats the car we saw at the car show", when i heard that , i turned and they were all staring, the driver then asked me " how much did you pick that up for?", i said 7k and he looked surprised and said " no way i thought they went for about 30k!" i stood there and thought to myself, he probably thinks it's a supra and drove off.

Second time was about 2 weeks after i got the Supra, i went down to my old town to visit some friends because they wanted to see the Supra. we were all talking and my buddies dad comes out and comments both the cars (celi and Sup). Later on he asked, which one is faster , so i just ask him, "which one do you think is faster?", he looks at both of them and points at the celi , then later on he tells me the celi looks better too . haha didn't really bother me, but my bro seemed happy.
