hi peeps,
if you've been reading my posts u might be aware that i'm about to start constructing my boot install, question is should I port my sub box or not? I have a 12" 300w rms infinity reference sub (4ohms) run off a bridged JBL lc-a752 2 channel amp (150w). The sub box is gonna be smaller than the ported one i use at the mo coz i wanna squeeze its new mdf home in the corner behind the wheel arch on the side of the spare wheel with the most room. The sub will be facing upwards and this is the face I intend to set the port too if you guys think i should stick with it. Lend me your wisdom!..... ![]() |

QUOTE(Scarrell @ Jan 24, 2005 - 1:17 AM) Bose sucks... all the way around..... anyway, that box you have Danny is just a thrown together ported box.... it isnt even properly tuned... you do not want to use that same port because its just cut like that to fit... anyway here: sealed box volume: 1.25 cu. ft. ported box volume: 2.00 cu. ft. if you want to save room then go with sealed.. plus with that sub you wont get much SPL from a ported box anyway... you will also lose alot of SQ.. i really think a sealed box is your best bet... but thats just me.. its up to you in the end... now u just sound ignorant. I have 1986 bose speakers in my room that sound better then most all speakers in a decent price range. Its also the fact the use box design incorporating a quality sound. They are over priced, but they surly do not suck. |
