I want to fit a Smaller sportier steering wheel to my ST202 (UK spec). It has a drivers and passenger airbag. If i disconect the airbag will I get a fault light on the dash? How can I remove the fault and will the passanger airbag still work. Someone has metioned putting a resistor accros the airbag connections to remove fault? Anyone done this before?

I'm no that tall either, so I used to sit closer to the wheel until I got in my first accident; didn't break anything, but if I was going faster I probably would have from the airbag.
1) The airbag did save my life 2) I was sitting too close 3) if I was going faster, the airbag would have broken things but 4) if I was going faster with no airbag, I would have smacked my head on the wheel, breaking more things 5) now i sit further back; and i would never take out my airbags |
