The scanner at the local auto zone says this is my problem. Besides buying a new one for 150, is thee any way around it? cleaning it?

HAHA.. I have had this problem for umm well sence aug. U can clean the lil filter on top of it, i tried that and it didnt do anything. and im not about to pay $150 for an egr valve. I past emissions with it bad so screw it.
