 egr valve-check engine light |

The scanner at the local auto zone says this is my problem. Besides buying a new one for 150, is thee any way around it? cleaning it?

Im not sure about what all your standards are, but mine was bad like 5 months before i did the test. As I was driving to the place, i pulled over 2 min before i got here, reset my ECU, so my check engine light was off, then waited in line for 25 min, but then ran and it passed, pretty nicly too. I was suprised.. but really thats all that thing does, my car feels the exact same. The only problem is, seeing that dang check engine light all the time, and not knowing if maybe somthing else might be wrong.
