 brake pedal goes down with no brakes, does it do it for anyone else? |

i have to press the brake pedal down ~ 2 in. before i feel resistance. is it like that for everyone? are my brakes not working correctly or are they just off adjustment?

how do i check for air in the lines? my car has been like that since i got it, and im perfectly comfortable with it. i was just wondering if its just my car or a celica thing and if it hinders my stopping at all. when i press hard, my front wheels lock up but i dont think my rears do. its probly because of drums in the rear.
