 Shaved door handles, Can I use fiberglass |

Question can I use fiberglass to shave my door handles? I know they are usually done by welding on a plate then hit it with some bondo etc.. However I dont have a welder but I am real good with fiberglass? yes? no? will it hold up?

i would think fiberglass would crack if you slam your door all the time. From what i have read, you have to get a metal plate to cover the hole. and weld that in place.
