the problem with these cell chips is that the app you run on them, will need to be coded to take advantage of multi processors. so, if you fire up a normal pc game on your windows maching running a cell chip, chances are it will only use 1 of its 8 cpus to run the game.
the results will be much better in the ps3 because the games are written for all 8 cpus. but, it seem to me like they are doing this to save cost of the unit. its cheaper to get 8 500mhz cpus then 1 4ghz cpu.
