I’d just compared everything to an American GT stock. The new Civic Si’s could beat us, the others would have a hard time. 95-99 GT-S or X Eclipse would beat us, the early ones are a good race, about a 50/50 shot. We could beat every Neon except the SRT-4. It’d be a good race with the V6 stang, depends on the year. But the 5.0’s and up GT’s will walk all over us. Older mustangs aren’t to hard to beat as long as there stock and not BOSS’s or Cobra’s. I think the V6 Probe might be a good race. The early 90’s turbo Probe would be hard to handle. The four cylinders would be easy. All focuses except the SVT, in which case I think would be a good race but the SVT might pull the win, have a ¼ chance of winning. I think we could handle about any Accord. The GS (I think that’s the right model) Integra’s would be a good race, but I don’t know much about these. This is all just my opinion, and sort of put out there for some discussion.

In fact, my bestest buddy ever has one. Its almost a direct tie. So EX's would give us a run for our money. The Eclipse/Talon/Laser Turbo FWD/AWD would kill, and kill bad. The N/A motors would also give us a run for our money. The "old" Eclipse is acutally proven better than the second gen, though I prefer second gen's more. I know this because I came from the DSM family. The Neon R/T (also known as the N/A Eclipse/Talon) would again, give us a run for our money. The SRT would kill. The V6 Stang would win. The V8 stang would kill. The V6 Probe/MX6 would win by alot. The Turbo Probe would win. The 4-banger would lose. Your right about the Focus. All but SVT would lose. I think the Accord V6 would win, the 4-cyl would be close only due to weight. The Integra (THE CAR CHOSEN TO BE CELICA'S ENEMY, yes boys and girls, the Honda Integra is the rival to the Celica). The Older GS is a good tie. The TYPE-R was made to compete against the 7th gen GTS, and thats a good race. Its not that I hate the Celica. I'm just realistic. I've driven almost all late model import sports cars and have owned quite a few. You cant expect a 135HP (best model) to compete with the top models of others. I'd say the Civic/Integra and the N/A Eclipse/Talon are the best match ups. -Ti This post has been edited by turboinduction: Feb 15, 2005 - 11:17 PM |
