i was talking to TTE about his Koni inserts and he mentioned that any 97-99 celica cant use inserts. you have to either get the whole shock assembly from toyota or buy some used 94-95 ones. anyone know if this is 100% true? tirerack.com seems to think that i can use inserts on a 98 without problems.

QUOTE Everybody that has sport package from the factory can't reuse them. I tried it on my so I cut, welded and at the end it was total disaster so I went to junkyard and bought regular ones without sport package and it was direct drop in. The same is true for the front convertible struts. I replaced mine with the regular OEM so I can just use the inserts if there is a next time. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
