 Custom Short Shifter, - Is this a good idea?? |

My friend made a custom short shifter by simply cutting it and re-threading it.
I would like to have a shorter shifter just because ours are so high when they are stock... i'm not looking for any performance upgrade just to have it shorter. idk... that seems like a lot of work, plus i would have to pay money to do that... I figured that just cutting it would be cheap and easy... but i just wanted to make sure it wasn't something stupid to do with our cars...
