My friend made a custom short shifter by simply cutting it and re-threading it.

I would like to have a shorter shifter just because ours are so high when they are stock... i'm not looking for any performance upgrade just to have it shorter.

Would you guys think this is ok to do?

ALso cutting it will not make it a short shifter, it will just be lower.

cool, i understand that it just makes it lower and not a short shifter..

but is it ok to do? I just hesitate cutting things frown.gif

would I have to make a custom shift boot plastic cover if I buy that short shifter kit?
