 Custom Short Shifter, - Is this a good idea?? |

My friend made a custom short shifter by simply cutting it and re-threading it.
I would like to have a shorter shifter just because ours are so high when they are stock... i'm not looking for any performance upgrade just to have it shorter. Our cars do have a nice throw to them stock. I put a GReddy/Trust shift knob on mine, and it shortened it up a little and feels really good now. I think I have a pic of it in my profile if anybody's interested in seeing it.
EDIT- Nevermind, i lied. I dont have a pic of it up.
