Advice, my dad Options

hey guy as you know iam 16 years old and my biggest dream was to trick out a car it never mattered what it was and i happend to get a badA$$ car like a celica my dad only paid 3200 but i play baseball so i dont have a job to get money but i work over the summer and my plans were to do a lot of stuff to my car when i start working. But my dad prettty much shot me down hes like why would spend all this money into your car when dont know if you plan on keeping it and he says i have no concept of money i dont know i guess i see all you guys with all these nice mods but i forget that most of you are 20+ going to college or working so i need some advice do you think i should keep my dream or just leave my celica the way it is...i already got a bodykit

ok i started on my celica when i was 16

i just started buying parts like no tomorrow
it got so bad my parents grounded me, yelled, took the car away cause i wouldnt stop

i love moding this car its my baby and my expression
my dad hates the fact that i like big toys dirt bikes cars planes

but for this one the celica he says "that stuff wasn't ment for the car, your wasting your money cause you won't keep it anyways and when you do one thingg you change it 2 months later and you keep wasting money you should save for later"

my response " this is what makes me happy, i can do whatever i want on this car and nobody can do a thing about it, i can express myself through the car in the design, suspension, music, and all the modifications i have done is an expression of who i am through my car. it lets me get as CREATIVE as i can possibly be or want to be and its willing to be the plate of my creativity i learn soooo much as i go deeper and deeper into working on this car about it and how it works that my knowledge of this car and for others as well has grown much larger and now i know and can help other people do what i've already done!"

now i'm 19 years old its 3 years later just look at my car below in my sig vvvv that started a stock, teal, cheerleader's car
now look its a street ride unique from the rest

just talk t your dad try and get him to understand he most likely is
