i know i asked this before but i still don't get it. In order to install coilovers you have to grind the struts right? Why? Arn't coilovers made so they fit our cars? It doesn't really matter but isn't there any coilovers out there that you don't have to grind the coilovers?
Whatever. My main question is, on the KYB struts do i shave the circular part that is partly gold in color? or am i way off? I need your guy's knowledge or i can't install them or have anyone install them. HELP ME -------------------- PROJECT 6TH GEN

my coilovers don't even fit around the struts (it fits halfway until this gold ring comes up and). There is only like a 1mm difference in diameter. i thinking because the struts and coilover is different brands so thats why the coilovers arn't fitting around the strruts. So do you think i should grind part of that?
