Hello...

new to the forum, love all celicas.

I've got a problem, it seems every now and then turning left or right i get a clunking grinding sound in a slow hard turn. It just started happening a week a go. I've heard it might be a cv joint problem but it happends when i turn in both directions. I've check the power steering fluid but i'm not sure how high the fluid is supposed to go. I check it, but their isn't a line level. Just cold on one side and hot on the other. It looks like their is fluid in it, but i'm not sure how high. I'm not very good with cars but would like to learn. Could anyone help me...

^ no thats not true. Wheel bearing will make a growling sound only as the wheel is spinning when driving down the road.

If your wheel has play when you jack it up and shake it then its your BALL JOINTS... (not wheelbearings).

Anyways, This noise your describing is not your ball joints or wheel bearings... Its most likely cv joints like we have stated.
