Hey guys, may be a dumb question, but don't flame me for it. I am looking to buy kyb gr2 struts ( are they also known as shock absorbers? If not, tell me what's the difference) in tirerack.com. In the website they are selling front fitment cartridge inserts, rear left and right strut housings, strut boots, and strut and shock mounts. Is it necessary to buy all of these? and why don't they list front left and right strut housings( is there even a such things? Or do I have to change the cartridges only in the front?) Is there anywhere where I could just buy these as a whole so that I could just swap them into my car? Sorry for all the questions but I really need to be enlightened. Thanks for your time guys!

No, you should buy 2 inserts and rear left/right strut housings. You should be able to check the condition of the boots without too much trouble to see if you need to replace those. Imo, if the boots are cheap, go ahead and replace them.
