For decent paint alone it should cost about $700 if not more, this doesnt include clear coat for your whole car. The majority of the time and effort is prepping the car to take the paint, this includes wet sanding, smoothing out imperfections in the body, removing moldings, body parts. All this takes time and money. If the shop doesnt prep you car right then the paints either gonna look like crap or come off within a year. Ive heard to many bad stories about maacoo. The lowest price youre probably gonna find for a decent paint job is bout $1500. which would require you do the majority of the prep work. Some people spend their entire summers just prepping the cars for a paint job. Make sure you do it correctly.
I would suggest maaco only if you intend to sell a car and want it to look decent before selling. If you planning on keeping your car for a while do not go to maaco. |
