Hey guys, dont flame me, but whats the difference between short ram air intake and cold air?

As far as power gains go, the short ram pretty much just makes noise. Everyone may say they feel a difference, but dyno tests(such as the one in the information articles) prove that the difference is more than likely a placebo effect. A cold air intake, while not producing the 8-12 horsepower that some people claim on our USDM GT and ST, will still produce a little bit more power. On some cars, like the new Hondas with the aAseries engines, cold air intakes can add substantial amounts of power.
