 115mph 94ST top speed??, Has anyone pushed their st futher? |

When i first got my 94celi st i decided to push its limits and topped it at 115. Then i put in a custom cold air intake thats almost to the floor
 . and my friend had a performance muffler sitting around so i convinced him to let me have it and had it put on  . after that i ran it again. It ran great. But it wouldnt go over 120mph!!!  after it reaches 115 it feels like i'm down shifting. and after it goes down to about 110 and starts to go up to 120 and it starts that down shift feeling again. I checked the revs and its only at 4.5 on 5th gear. Whats wrong with my engine??? By the way i have a stock 7A-FE engine. Shouldn't that be the other way around ?, the larger the wheel the more ground covered on each rotation, speedo undereads and the limiter kicks in at a point where the car is travelling faster..... |
