hi all,
just want to know something abut overdrive. i noticed when im at a full stop, turning o/d off (lights orange on dash), seems to go more smooth....but when i hit around 35 mph...motor starts running hard...when i engage o/D its all smooth...whats the deal between it anyways?....newbie here.... -------------------- ![]() |

let me see if i can explane this... while my brain is semi funtional right now...
Over Drive... is another gear in ur tranny .... by disabling it... u tranny goes back down into 3 gear and lets ur engine rev higher... while it is one .. at higher speeds.. the tranny shift into high gears as lower engine revs... wich makes for a smoother ride and saves on gas.... and as for the name ... don't know... there are a lot of things on cars.. that i feel are named wrong.. -------------------- |
